Epoxy Injection
This method is suitable for narrow cracks as thin as **0.002 inches (0.05 mm)**. It involves establishing entry and venting ports along the cracks, sealing the exposed surfaces, and injecting epoxy under pressure. Epoxy injection has been successfully used in buildings, bridges, dams, and other concrete structures. However, it's essential to address the root cause of the cracking to prevent recurrence.

Routing and Sealing
In conditions requiring remedial repair, routing and sealing of cracks can be effective. It involves creating wider grooves along the crack and then sealing them. This method is simpler and more common for crack repair.

Stitching
Stitching involves embedding metal staples or stitching bars across the crack to stabilize and align the separated sections of concrete. It's useful for repairing cracks in concrete slabs and pavements.

Drilling and Plugging
For active cracks, drilling and plugging can be employed. It involves drilling holes near the crack and filling them with suitable materials to prevent further propagation.

External Prestressing
This method uses external tendons or cables to apply compressive forces to the cracked section, effectively closing the crack. It's commonly used for repairing structural cracks.

Flexible Sealing
To repair horizontal cracks on foundations, scrub the crack, remove loose material, and inject epoxy or polyurethane to seal it. Allow time for healing and monitor for signs of further cracks or water leakage.
